Commercial leaders join Energy Matrix Group’s growing team

Energy Matrix Group (EMG) welcomes two new senior appointments adding depth and experience to its commercial team in Western Australia and Victoria.
Commercial Manager (WA) Vincent Blondeau joins the team this month, bringing commercial, gas trading and energy experience from previous roles across Europe and Australia.
A French national, Vincent has spent the past 12 years working in Western Australia in a range of energy procurement, commercial and corporate business development roles at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers.
He also brings exposure from international energy markets having worked in a range of energy trading and commercial roles in Europe.
Vincent’s appointment comes after former Qenos Head of Gas and Energy Campbell Thomas joined the EMG team as Melbourne-based Commercial Manager (East) in October.
Campbell spent 25 years in petrochemical manufacturing, including almost a decade leading commercial and sourcing strategy for electricity and natural gas, gas feedstock, industrial gases, diesel and chemical co-product sales across a $400 million portfolio.
CEO Allan McDougall said the appointments added considerable commercial depth to EMG as the company eyes further expansion into East Coast energy markets.

“With EMG managing almost half of all domestic gas traded in Western Australia and penetrating deeper into the East Coast energy markets, these appointments come at a critical time.
“EMG is focused on providing world class energy market services to existing and new customers as we enter new markets and grow our portfolio beyond 50 major users operating across the mining, industrial and manufacturing sectors.”
The commercial appointments come after Adam Barry joined EMG as full-time Chief Financial Officer earlier this year.
