Energy Matrix Group completes first phase of consolidation

Leading energy partner Energy Matrix Group (EMG) has completed its first stage of business consolidation with the internal launch of a refreshed brand, new website and stronger growth outlook.
The milestone was marked by an internal event attended by EMG’s leadership team and staff, which coincided with the first anniversary of moving to the Company’s new Perth headquarters on St Georges Terrace in the CBD.
EMG CEO Allan McDougall said the strategic decision to simplify four businesses into one company created greater efficiencies and a platform for continued growth without compromising service quality or continuity.
“We identified and seized the opportunity to streamline four businesses under one name, brand and organisation to simplify engagement with customers and stakeholders,” he said.
“Energy Matrix Group is now a fully integrated one-stop-shop for bespoke energy supply solutions, commercial and industrial volume trading, specialist contract management and expert energy project advice.
“We continue to uphold the highest standards of service and information integrity while providing high-quality commercial and operational support to energy market participants across the nation.”
The group previously comprised four distinct businesses – Agora Gas, Agora Retail, gasTrading and Project Consulting Services – that now operate under the same roof with the same people.
The second and final phase of business transformation will be completed on 1 July 2026 when minor changes to the Company’s legal, financial, invoicing, accounting and other business segments take effect.
EMG continues to operate the highly sought after gasTrading Spot Market™ platform, enabling users to buy and sell gas within the Western Australian market as well as access historical pricing and trading data dating back to 2009.
